Quick start
Five minutes from zero to your first stream.
1. Get a Matrix account
If you don’t already have one, sign up at matrix.steegler.com. Any Matrix homeserver works for chatting, but to host streams or earn donations on this pilot you’ll want a steegler.com account.
2. Open the chat client
Go to /_mm/chat/ and sign in. This is FluffyChat with MatrixMedia features added — streaming, donations, and recording — all built into the room view.
Mobile? Native iOS and Android builds are coming soon. Until then, the web client at /_mm/chat/ runs on phones and tablets.
3. Set your Lightning Address (optional, for earning)
Open MM Studio → Lightning. Enter your Lightning Address (looks like you@getalby.com or yourname@walletofsatoshi.com). Donors will pay this directly — the operator never custodies funds.
Don’t have one yet? Both Alby and Wallet of Satoshi hand you an address in under two minutes.
4. Create a channel
Tap the + button in the room list and choose Create channel. Pick a name and topic. Invite a friend as your first viewer — share the room invite link or use the Start DM flow.
5. Go live
Inside the room, tap the camera icon. Choose camera or screen share, optionally enable recording, and start broadcasting. Your viewers see a live bubble in the timeline and can join with one tap.
