Joining a live stream
When a creator goes live in a room you’re in, a live bubble appears in the timeline with a Watch button. Tap it — the player opens inline. No app install, no signup beyond your Matrix account.
If a pre-roll ad is configured for the channel, you’ll see it before the live feed. Most channels run no ads at all.
Donating
Two ways. Pick whichever your wallet supports.
Lightning (recommended — no fees, no signup)
Tap Donate on the live bubble. Choose Lightning. If your browser has a WebLN extension (Alby), tap Pay — one click, settled in seconds. No WebLN? Copy the BOLT11 invoice and paste it into any Lightning wallet (Phoenix, Wallet of Satoshi, Strike, your node). The creator gets the sats directly.
Pair a wallet for one-tap tipping. In any donate sheet, tap Pair wallet and follow the NWC connection flow. After that, future donations are one tap — no copy-paste, no QR scanning.
Card (Stripe)
If the creator has Stripe enabled, you’ll see a Pay with card option. Standard checkout, no account needed.
Past broadcasts
When a creator records a stream, the bubble in the timeline switches to a Watch recording CTA after the broadcast ends. Tap to play. Past broadcasts also list in MM Studio → History for that channel.
Subscriptions (where offered)
Some creators offer subscription tiers via Stripe. Tap their channel header → Subscribe. Tier benefits (HD streaming, ad-free, recording downloads) depend on what the creator configured.
